Associations & Clubs :-
Association refers to a group of people organized for a joint purpose or to promote some idea, sport or object. Various associations presently active in USA are:
• AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) :-
It is a globally recognized organization founded in 1982 by a group of managers from Chrysler, Ford Motor Company, and General Motors. Its main purpose is to provide an open forum where members cooperate in developing and promoting solutions will enhance the prosperity of the automotive industry. Around 1600 members are directly involved in this automotive supply chain.
• ARM (Association of Rotational Molders) International :-
It is the premier organization of rotational molding industry worldwide. They promote and champion rotational molding. Its currently representing member companies in 58 countries, which include manufacturers of rotationally molded plastic products, suppliers to the industry, designers and professionals.
• AAIA (Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association) :-
It is a Bethesda based association whose more than 23,000 member and affiliates manufacture, distribute and sell motor vehicle parts, accessories, service, tool, equipment, materials and supplies. This association was formed in 1999 from the consolidation between the Automotive Parts & Accessories Association (APAA) and the Automotive Service Industry Association (ASIA).
• FIA (Forging Industry Association) :-
It is a corporate membership association comprised of approximately 105 North American forging producers operating over 150 plants. Its membership also includes over 80 suppliers to the forging industry including companies engaged in the manufacturing or processing of steel or other forging stock, die stock, machine tools, equipment, consulting, etc. Its mission is to improve members global competitiveness.
• HDMA (Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association) :-
It was established in 1983 to meet heavy duty product manufacturers need for a national association dedicated to their specific interests. It is the premier trade association for NAFTA based manufacturers who supply parts to the on-highway, agricultural, construction, military and mining heavy vehicle sector.
