A tool is a device / implement especially one held in the hand as a hammer, saw or file for performing or facilitating mechanical operations. There are various tools which are involved in automobile industry like wrenches, power tools, hammers, drive tools (adaptors, screwdrivers, ratchets), micrometer, thermometers, battry tools, bore gages, calipers, Frame repair sets, drills & screw drivers, etc.
An equipment refers to a set of tools, devices, kit, etc assembled for a specific purpose. Equipments are further classified as Heavy and Light equipments. Heavy equipments, which includes automotive lifts, brake lathes, compressed air systems, tire changers accessories, wheel alignment accessories, etc. Light equipments include brake tools, Engine hoist & stands, headlight aimers, material handling, etc.
